The news of the sale of the Pardubice Kávoviny area has recently made headlines, with the acquisition being confirmed by the head of Imos Development, Hana Vyplelová. Approximately a year ago, the company Kávoviny, which had been operating in Pardubice for 130 years, was purchased by the BlackBird Real Estate group led by Miroslav Dorňák through its subsidiary BBRE Commercial Invest s.r.o. As of mid-February, the new owner of the properties is the investment company Amista, which is managed by the Imos Development fund led by Jiří Rulíšek. While the company has primarily carried out its development activities in Brno, it also has investments in the Dolní Morava area.

The residential block project planned for the former Kávoviny site is estimated to cost nearly 2 billion Czech crowns. One advantage highlighted by the Imos Development management is that there will be no need for a change in the zoning plan.

There are still uncertainties surrounding the future of the Kávoviny brand in the regional city. Deputy Mayor Jan Hrabal stated, „I do not have information that the brand will completely disappear from the city. I perceive that Pardubice is an attractive address for developers, and a billion-dollar investment can revitalize this part of the city.“

This project is not the only development initiative in Pardubice. Significant transformations are expected in the area of the former distillery and bus station, where the Pernerka Gallery will be built. New construction is also planned in the Brewery area, which was acquired by the Conseq Funds from Staropramen, as well as in the former Prokopce area. The owner, ČSOB Pojišťovna, has been planning new construction there for years, but the realization is still quite far off.
